Weekly:
All Fire Alarm points are to be checked to ensure that they are ready to use and fit for purpose.
The Following Checks Should be carried out:
- Each Alarm is secure and intact.
- Each Alarm is unobstructed and visible.
- The Alarms are tested on a rotation system to ensure over the period all buttons are individually tested.
- Put the system on test. Operate the button using the test key, monitor and record the results.
- Re-set the system.
On a bi-annual basis, all fire alarms and sensors are checked and serviced by a competent technician.
